about ACLI Russian Immersion Programs

“The language pledge provides a singular opportunity to bond with other students interested in Russian, and enabled me to more fully interact with, and participate in, Russian culture. Because of the depth of an experience such as this one, I feel that I have developed a greater sense of my capabilities and ability to interact with the surrounding world.”

“This is the most ‘out-of-my-element’ I’ve ever been and I have learned so much. I was already in love with Russian, and now I’m even more enthused to get this language down!”

“The Russian language rule was absolutely crucial and it was because of that I learned new vocabulary.”

“I’m glad we got to stay with a host family — we got more practice speaking with native speakers . . .”

We [the group] were all really motivated to improve . . .I definitely feel like I understand significantly more spoken Russian

“Everything was well-organized and they did a terrific job answering a variety of questions and giving advice.”
