Program Description:

Students study at Russia’s oldest University located in one of the world’s most famous, beautiful, and cultured cities. Coursework includes intensive Russian language courses at all levels. For beginning and intermediate language students, courses offered in English include Russian Politics, Russian History, and International Relations. For advanced Russian speakers courses are also available in Linguistics, Russian Literature and Culture, Eastern Studies, Journalism, History, International Relations, Psychology, Computer Science, and other fields. Explore the Russian language and culture within the city walls of St. Petersburg!

   
 
Course of Study

  • Beginning to Intermediate language students may elect to pursue 20 weekly hours of Russian language coursework. OR, they may pursue 8 hours of weekly coursework in Russian language and 12 hours of weekly coursework with a Faculty that offers coursework in English (pending availability and placement).
  • Intermediate to Advanced language students, pending language evaluation and placement, may elect to pursue 8 hours of weekly coursework in Russian language and 12 hours of weekly coursework with a Faculty of their choice. OR, in rare cases, advanced students may elect to pursue 20 hours of coursework in the Faculty of their choice (all coursework in Russian).

Living Arrangements:

Students may select to live in Residence Hall style housing or in homestays with local families.
